Case of Rabies follows bite from a puppy

A young man has died of Rabies after being bitten by a puppy – he had played with the dog on campus in Chennai (Madras). His companion, who also played with the puppy, which bit both of them, received anti-rabies treatment following the bite, but he did not.

This highlights the importance of seeking medical help following any bite from a dog, cat, or monkey in any area of the world where rabies occurs.
