There continue to be a steady trickle of cases of bird flu happening in many parts of Asia. It can be contracted where humans come into contact with infected poultry, such as live animal markets, which are common in all parts of Asia.
Although the risk to tourists is low, they should nevertheless avoid visiting live animal markets.
