Cervical Laminectomy Video

In a cervical laminectomy procedure, a portion of bone is removed from the spine in the neck to relieve pressure caused by cervical spinal stenosis. This should stop the progression of spinal cord damage and bring back function for walking and using one's hands - if the nerve damage was not too severe and has not become permanent. Sometimes a spinal fusion procedure will also be performed to address instability or to prevent future stability issues.
